First off great review, thanks, you trawled through this dross so we don't have to.

Second, regarding teh author's wank fantasies. Specifically the part where Georgia (a left wing columnist) is belittled by Ricky. I was thinking, every time littlejohn has encountered a leftie in public debate, he's been slaughtered. This seems like his fantasy of what shoudl ahppen to any left wing commetator when faced by the might of his wit.

More worryingly many elements of this book seem to fit with his own fantasy images, as far as vigilantism, gun ownership and the like, which when you come to the sex bits is pretty scary.

More and more I wonder if littlejohn and his ilk may need some pretty serious therapy, I don't think all right wingers need therapy just him, and Kelvin McKenzie, and the entire fox news team.....Pie Man 70https://www.blogger.com/profile/09998584708124420580noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21544361.post-42596125752751561602010-08-09T10:06:53.871+01:002010-08-09T10:06:53.871+01:00Excellent work you're doing here. It's just that I'm trying to honestly convey what the novel is like. As I said in the first post, I actually feel a little cruel.

Anyway, I may have to put off the third post until tomorrow, since the in-laws are coming over today and I won't get much of a chance to write.

Hope you can sit tight until then.Five Chinese Crackershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09395982651352498540noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21544361.post-31375994820562652802010-07-28T13:43:52.971+01:002010-07-28T13:43:52.971+01:00He's probably wondering how he can shoehorn yo...He's probably wondering how he can shoehorn you into the next book as a Pakistani man who just happens to be a terrorist.minifighttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06439926169159228582noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21544361.post-87165354082388772782010-07-28T12:20:45.011+01:002010-07-28T12:20:45.011+01:00You may be the 74th Best Left of Centre Blog in th...You may be the 74th Best Left of Centre Blog in the UK 2007 - but this must be the best review of Littlejohn (the book and the "man") anywhere!

I'm worried for you though. I genuinely believe you're a trailblazer in blogging. I found out about you from Tabloid Watch and your disgust at Littlejohn even outdoes McGuffin.

And yet it's all so well-balanced. I'm still scared and downright angry at how Littlejohn continues to get away with his remarkably homosexually-skewed, race- and PC-based lies from week to week.

Cap doffed. I await your next instalment. Keep up the good work.Matthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17643468499189741795noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21544361.post-1791002557897199992010-07-27T22:44:26.833+01:002010-07-27T22:44:26.833+01:00The sex is shown to be violent and animal, and ...The sex is shown to be violent and animal, and 'in other circumstances, would constitute rape'.

That says more about Littlejohn's understanding of rape and sex than anything else in the book. What circumstances is he talking about here? If he means 'lack of consent', then it would be rape regardless of how 'violent' or 'animal' it was. Or is that not how it works in Littlejohn-land? Would non-consensual but 'gentle' sex - say, date-rape - be rape in Littlejohn's world? Oh wait, never mind.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21544361.post-56035036390269999742010-07-27T22:39:31.356+01:002010-07-27T22:39:31.356+01:00I've read both of your posts and they are fant...I've read both of your posts and they are fantastic. Littlejohn thinks this book is some pinnacle of wit and parody but you have completely and entirely destroyed it. All of it, reduced to nothing more than a projection of Littlejohn's failings, insecurities, self-loathing and disturbing thoughts.

Seriously, you are there with Self and Hari in my opinion. I hope he reads your posts and hates himself a bit more as a result. Now every time I mention one of his columns I'm going see which category it falls into. Speed cameras today, eh? Fuck me.

Something which disturbs me more is why he is rated so much and has the job he does when he writes such tiresome, hollow shit? I guess it goes all the way to why the Mail has such a readership - are people selecting what they want to read or does the over-simplification make them switch off and drink it up? I explored this a bit in my post yesterday (Having a bad day).

I think you're going to need some kind of spiritual mental detox to get all of Littlejohn's dirty laundry out of your head after this!

Well done again, thankyou, looking forward to part 3 and there not being a part 4, if you see what I'm saying.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
